Fast fashion is out; sustainable style is in. Instead of throwing away a denim jacket with a tear or a sweater with a stain, bring it to our Clothing Upcycling workshop and learn how to reinvent it.

In this class, you will learn the art of “visible mending,” an aesthetic approach to repairing clothes that highlights the repair rather than hiding it. We will cover the Japanese embroidery technique of Sashiko, basic hand-stitching, and how to safely use a sewing machine for simple hemming and tailoring. Bring 2-3 items of clothing from your own closet that need a little love. Fabric scraps, embroidery floss, and sewing machines will be provided.
