There is no better way to kick off a new month than by immersing yourself in the local arts scene. The Crafty Shrimp is thrilled to participate in the city’s First Friday Art Walk, keeping our doors open late to celebrate the incredible talent working right here in our studio.

Open Studio Access

During the Art Walk, our normally private studio spaces are open to the public. This is a rare opportunity to peek behind the curtain and see works-in-progress. Chat with our resident painters, watch a live demonstration by our metalworkers, and learn about the varied processes that go into creating handmade goods.

Featured Artist of the Month

Each First Friday, we dedicate our main gallery wall to a single emerging artist. This month, we are featuring a stunning collection of botanical linocut prints by local printmaker, David O’Connor. David will be on-site pulling fresh prints and answering questions about his carving techniques.

Entry is completely free. We will be serving up complimentary mocktails and light hors d’oeuvres while a local jazz trio provides the soundtrack for the evening. Grab a friend, support local art, and get inspired!
